Biography

 

One of the nation's leading experts on the clinical diagnostic market, Dennis Weissman has more than three decades of national leadership experience in health policy & strategic business intelligence including founding Washington G-2 Reports, an information company serving key diagnostic market sectors that was acquired in 1999 by the Institute of Management & Administration (IOMA), a subsidiary of the Bureau of National Affairs (BNA). A respected, well-known publisher and independent analyst for the healthcare industry since 1979, he is a much sought-after conference and workshop speaker before state, regional and national companies and organizations.

Prior to forming G-2 Reports, Dennis headed the Washington Office for the American Society for Medical Technology and prior to that served as special assistant to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health in the Department of Health, Education & Welfare. After completing a tour of duty with the U.S. Army at the Pentagon where he worked on White House & congressional liaison issues, Dennis began his first civilian position in the Nation's Capital as a government affairs executive with the American Optometic Association. Before his military service, he worked as Director of Men's Residence Halls at Monmouth College in Monmouth, Il.

Dennis earned a bachelor-of-science degree in political science from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a masters-of-science degree in higher education administration from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN.
